Members of Karama’s delegation to CSW spoke with the UN’s Arabic news service about the situation for women in Iraq, Lebanon, and Palestine.

Suzan Aref, founder and head of the Women Empowerment Organization in Iraq, discussed the regression of women’s rights in her country, where the quota system to increase women’s political representation has not led to improved in legal protection for women and girls.
