UNSCR1325 at 20: Women, Peace and Security in the Broader Arab Region

Marking the 20th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, the Karama women’s movement held an online discussion on Thursday 15th October to explore the practical impact of the women, peace and security agenda for women and girls in the broader Arab region.

You can watch the session above, moderated by Dr Maya Morsy, President of Egypt’s National Council for Women, with contributions from experts from Iraq, Libya, Jordan, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen, as well as international diplomatic, military and academic perspectives from Sweden and Norway.
